Here's to Turning Fear into Focus

We know these last few weeks have been tough, we’ve been focusing on the future. We’ve been busy strengthening our relationships, investing more time into ourselves and our business and helping our clients fuel their focus and not their fears during these difficult times.

Here's a list of things to help keep you focused on your business while you have some downtime:

1. Revamp your website (or create one if you don’t already have one)

Often times we think that once we’ve created a website we can just sit back and let it do it’s thing. This isn’t the best practice, your site needs to have fresh, relevant content in order to perform better. Are your photos outdated? Perhaps you’ve added more services or offerings. Take a good look and see what areas need attention.

If you don’t have a website you might think “I’ve gone this long without one, why bother now.” During these difficult times we’re living in, it’s more important than ever to be able to make yourself accessible to your clients and customers digitally, so get yourself out there.

2. Start a blog

Blogs are a great way to boost your SEO and be the answer to your clients questions. Continue engaging with your audience by blogging about new product offerings, your brand’s achievements or any other new or noteworthy bits of information that would be helpful for your customers.

3. Deliver more value with your mailing list

Be sure you can keep with your customers via email and/or direct mail. Start gathering up your customer’s email address and mailing address and create a spreadsheet or export client information from your POS system to help get you started. Make sure you use every opportunity to gather information from your audience, it will only help your marketing efforts moving forward. With your existing customers, it's more important than ever to let your human side come through and connect with them on a deeper level. Give them the opportunity to learn more about your background, how you're helping the community, the faces behind your team, and more.

4. Add an ecommerce section to your website

With so many businesses closed due to the COVID-19 Crisis, many businesses have to get creative and and start moving their inventory online. If you don’t have an online shop, there’s no better time than now - after all, your customers are stuck at home as well and many of them are shopping online!

5. Promote your online shop

While your brick-and-mortar location is closed to foot traffic, promote that inventory via digital channels and promotions and be sure to play it safe with non-contact pickups or deliveries.

Now that your business has proven successful over the last decade take a look at your brand and see if it could use some visual improvement.

8. Create videos that promote your brand
